Help me please!!! I have a Lady Kenmore washing machine top loading not sure what year that drains as it fills with water. It also will start and agitate during the wash cycle but continues to slowly drain. During the rinse cycle it doesn't agitate. Can anybody help me please!!!!!:) :confused: :)

I too have this washer. Believe it or not, I purchased it in 1984! I have made several repairs to it over the year, but I've more than gotten my money's worth. According to my repair manual, water filling and draining at the same time is caused by a bad pump, bad control magnet or bad cam bar. Are you planning to repair the unit yourself?

Make sure the drain hose is not any further down than about a foot in the drain pipe. It sounds like it is siphoning, and a drain hose too far down the drain pipe will cause this.
