i TESTED THE HEATER AND IT HAD CONTINUITY

I HAVE REPLACED THE DEFROST CONTROL #AP3109394

IT DEFROSTED SEVERAL TIMES IN THE FIRST WEEK.

NO MORE WATER SHOWS UP IN THE EVAPORATION TRAY.

COOLING FAN RUNS SMOOTH AND ALL THE TIME THE FRIG IS ON.

QUESTION; HOW OFTEN SHOULD THE DEFROST ACTIVATE WITH THE ABOVE PART NUMBER AND HOW LONG SHOULD IT STAY ON?

IT SEEMED FROM THE BEGINNING IT WAS STAYING A VERY SHORT TIME AND NOT MELTING ALL THE SNOW.

WHAT SHOULD I TEST NEXT. IS THERE A WAY TO TEST THE NEW ABOVE PART NUBER?

THANKS

Here is the tech sheet

Here is a manual about defrost systems

You have an unusual problem that will be difficult to trouble shoot effectively.

Check that the defrost thermostat is properly clipped onto the evaporator coils, could be that it is opening before the coils are clear of ice. This will also extend the time between defrost cycles.
If the defrost thermostat is bulged out, replace it.
