This gas range has 4 identical medium-hi output burners that can't be turned down enough to simmer anything - esp. rice! It looks like there are parts available on this site to modify one of the burners to lower the total output (ie: dedicated simmer burner). Question is, is simply adding an orifice in the line enough or do I need a different burner (or both)? or more? Or is it more trouble than it's worth?

On some models the flame can be adjusted with the center screw in the gas burner valve stem. I'm not able to give more accurate advise because the model number you posted does not come up.
Gene.
