The oven will start fine, but will completely shut down while baking. After a few minutes the oven power comes back on with flashing time. No error codes or warnings. It seems to only happen when using the heating element, not the broiler. There seems to be no pattern to the shut off, it can happen 3 times in the baking process or 1 time. It does happen all but a few times we use the oven.
Any ideas on a fix, or replacement part?

Here are your parts Replacement parts for General Electric JTP15WD1WW Electric range | AppliancePartsPros.comAs usual I cannot find any tech info on this specific unit, GE likes to keep that info a secret. Hopefully someone else with a wiring diagram or who has actually seen this problem will jump in. I did find the following manual though it does not list your unit something similar to the fan control shutting off the unit may be happening though your unit does not show any resistors that would heat up the overload so this is a bit of a wild guess. http://appliancejunk.com/ge/cookingproduct/31-20105.pdfCould be a bad connections somewhere in the wiring that is heating up, opening momentarily and shutting down the unit. |
