If you have 120V between 5 pin (red black wire) and the 3 pin (white red wire) and the light still will not light the motor is bad. Just to check the lid switch, check to the 6 pin (orange wire) from the 5 pin. With the lid open you shouldn’t get voltage and you should get it with the lid down. Note look good for the light because sometime it is hard to see. The lid switch will cause the motor not to run but it will not cause the light to go out. I hope this helps!
