Strange problem: Kenmore drains, starts trying to spin and then seems to try to agitate at the same time. The result is that that it appears to start to spin, and the agitator tries to yank in the opposite direction.

It is disturbingly loud, and i swear I can smell something start to get overheated.

Apparently my wife let it just continue grinding once through a cycle, and the result was loud noise, and clothes that never drained.

Help, before it kills someone
