Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 8/28/2010(UTC) Posts: 1		I bought my set on Craig's List knowing the dryer needed repair - I've wanted Duets for awhile now, and this finally made it affordable. The problem is this: the dryer will stop midcycle; it can be restarted, but you have to stay on top of it. It exhibits code E-1. The old owner called a repair person who said it needs 'new control panel(s)', and they decided not to mess with it. I, on the other hand, am willing to mess with it! Please just advise the exact part(s) and part #'s I need to proceed.... Thanks in advance for your help!

Try running the diagnostics to see if it comes up when the unit is cold. If not check the connections/wires to the thermistor. Could be a dirty or loose connector that only causes problems when it is heated up. Check the thermistor resistance when disconnected from the control board.
