Roper washers are built by whirlpool. This should mean that there is one screw on each side of the console on the front or back. They will be star screws. Once they are both off. You will be able to pull the console ahead then lift it up and flip it back. This will show two gold clips one on each side. You have to use a flat screw driver and stick it in and push toward the back panel. This will make the clips pop out. just push down with your palm to put them back. And also you have to unplug the lid switch. now you will have to tilt the cabinet toward you and pull and walk back. It should come off. And there you go the lid switch is ready to be replaced. Hope this helps.
