Oven will light and heat to 250 if set to 350. Have to crank up temp to 400 then once hot will hold temp where ever you set it for 15-20 min. Once it drops and trys to reignite the igniters will fire, and gas will come on for 2-5 seconds then shut off. The heat light on the control panel is still on, but the burner will not light. Control Panel is not the problem, but the stove has an igniter control panel too?? Any idea if it could be the igniter on the burner tube?? Thanks...

Trooper,

To be honest with you,

You should repalce both, the burner and the spark module.

That's the reccomended procedure per the stove manufacturer.

Here are the part numbers you'll need :

Part number: AP3672576

Great !! Thank you very much. I paid a tech to come out and troubleshoot, but I guess he didn't know what he was talking about; " the control panel controls the whole oven, that's got to be the problem".

Thanks again, Rick

Rick,

The tech was almost correct, "The panel controls the whole oven".

He just forgot about the sub systems.

You'll be fine once you get those parts installed .

:)To Joe: I replaced the igniter control board, first and it worked like a champ. I can't thank you enough. Now...I did order the lower burner/igniter assy just in case, should I wait a couple of weeks and see how it works before sending it back. I am on a tight budget and the oven hasn't been used that much. Thanks again. Rick

Trooper,

If you're sure the burner tube ports are clean, especially at the igniter ignition ports, You'll probably be fine.

(you could even increase the ignition port openings by 1 drill size for optimum ignition,( I used to do that in a pinch).

But I'm sure you'll be fine.
