The Frigidaire timer you found looks pretty similar to the GE timer. I would give it a try.

Thanks for the help Gene. I called GE, they're emailing replacement tech sheets that are missing. I'll go through the checks on them and check the door switch before I buy any parts.

I was able to cross the part #'s, the Frigidaire parts are the same as GE's parts & about 30% less costly. 134149220 control & 131802100 timer. Their control unit also has improved shielding to prevent noise interference which apparently can cause timer stalling. To check for this, unplug machine for 30 seconds at stall and plug back in to clear. Electrolux built this series and it is branded by many other names, Frigidaire, Tappan, White-Westinghouse, Gibson, Kelvinator, Kenmore, GE and a couple of European names as well. This model is notorious for tub bearing going bad early and spider failure from corrosion. The trap before the pump requires routine maintenance to keep clear but they fail to mention that in owners manual, this has been my only problem in 9 years, until the current problem which started with the pump clog again.

I will update with solution.

Follow up results.

Got the tech sheets from GE. Ended up being a timer problem, which I was able to repair. Removed timer, verified motor operation and gears, verified continuity through contacts, cleaned connections and lubricated. Also straitened out a bent corner of the timer case where side plug connected (this is the original timer, so it came from factory with smashed in case corner), the plug engagement clip now seats properly. Reinstalled the timer and ran it through a cycle, no faults. I replaced the hose washers, flushed the inlet screens, reinstalled the supply hoses, oiled bearings, re-leveled, put the new tech sheet in the machine pocket, scrubbed the machines, floor and the walls behind them followed by some bug treatment in the corners. As I type, a dirty load of towels is now washing nicely, smoother and quieter. The signal has now sounded, success.

As I observed the machine cycling it appears as if the shocks will soon need replacing. I also need to service the supply valves, as they do not close fully and drip water, but that is to be expected here in Florida where the chlorinated water eats rubber parts. I have replaced all the other supply stops in the house with ball valves and will do the same with these.

Now if somehow I can get my wife to pay me for the service call, I'll buy Gene lunch! Thanks again.

Hi- just wanted to say thanks as this helped with my problem. I also determined the cause of the bent corner referenced above. My shocks were both broken and the resultant crashing of the tub crumpled the edge of the switch, presumably knocking the pin connection loose. For the last few weeks the machine would spin on one setting but not the others. Finally it stopped spinning on all. I uncrumpled the switch case and reaffixed the wires. Machine is happily spinning away in the background as I type. Shocks are on back order, but should be on the way this week. Thanks again!
