Hello all..i have a side by side refrigerator,a few months ago i've noticed everything in the freezer defrosted and it does not stay cool, the evaporator fan stopped running, ice maker stopped working, coils would have a lot of frost on them from the bottom to middle,i replaced the evaporator fan but still no luck with it.. i figured because the freezer is not cool enough the ice maker does not work?? any ideas on how to go about this problem guys? thanks.

If your fan stopped running and you replaced it and still not running, your going to need the main control board located on the back of the unit behind an access panel.

Yes that will fix all the problems you have. Sqeeze the tabs with needlenose pliers, comes right off. The board runs between $100 and $140...Keep me posted

Ok i bought the board... i must say its not the same exact one... it has some more added parts on it such as..Pan/Htr Relay... J12 Connection, J5 connection, when i installed it... the fan started running slow... the freezer section is not yet closed up.. i still have it opened.. is something else wrong making the fan spin so slow? or does it have to settle in? thanks.

Yes, the board looks different, but is the same. It's universal for several different models. Give it time to adjust temp wise, you'll be good

Did you look at the instructions to find out if you needed to cut the wire described on the instruction sheet.

Hm.. it did not come with any instructions... i bought the board off of ebay from a seller who obtained the part from best buy.. i did not see any instructions in the box...i think i have to do something more to it cause the freezer fan is constantly running at a mid speed and it wont stop.. freezer is cold now. is their anything i should check out?

The fan will continue to run about 80% of the time, it is fine. What is the freshfood temp, is it cooling? if so you are good to go.
