Hello... I have a Maytag Performa. When I use it on any setting other than Air Fluff, the section of the dryer on the front bottom (under where the lint trap is) gets really, really hot. I'm not talking normal dryer warm, but burn your hand hot. We've checked the lint trap and the back of the unit for lint, and we've changed the high-limit thermostat. Any tips as to what else could be the problem? Air fluff works just fine, it's just the delicate and regular settings. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks a lot! :D

Hi,

Take the dryer apart and clean the lint out around the blower housing.

Also start the dryer, and go to the vent outside the house and make sure you have good airflow, very well could be the house vent, usually is with these complaints.
