I have a Kenmore side-by-side that was purchased in 1993 (model #363-9532710). The bottom door hing has a gasket/spacer (?) that has broken and the door won't close on its on. It will close but you have to help it. I called the parts folks at Sears and they said they no longer stocked the part. Is there a comparable part I could use to fix this problem? Thanks for any assistance you can render.

I am not sure what part you are looking for.
I went to the Sears parts site and it looks like there are 2 shims on the fresh food door hinge.

Go to the Sears parts site, get their part number, be sure to also get the substitution number if there is one. Then come back to AppliancPartsPros and do a search using the part number.

Note that usually it is the cam on either the door or the unit's body that causes closing problems so I would double check those.

Thank you Mr. Denman. I should have checked the Sears Parts site myself instead of relying on them to do so. I found the part that I think (?) I need. It is the cam. At least the picture on line looks a lot like the part that is broken on my fridge.

I appreciate your help!!!
