Refrigerator compartment has small opening in center back panel 1" from the bottom which ices over. Fridge is too cold at the back. What is cause, how to fix?

You need to check several things, Check that both doors(fresh food and freezer) are closing and sealing properly. Check the freezer temperature, the temperature should not be below 0 dgrs, (preferably 3 to 5 dgrs). Check for articles on the shelf, blocking the air flow,(articles hanging over edge of shelf, against the back and side walls). If those checks are all OK, remove the cover and check the auto damper assembly operation. (cover is at the top of the compartment, inside the cover you'll find the damper assembly, warm the temperature bulb with your hand and insure it moves to the closed position). I'm sure you'll find the problem in one of these areas, and you'll have it working fine,in no time at all. :) :) :)
