My Husband unscrewed the front pannel to tighten the handle which was falling off. When he did 2 white plastic pieces came out. I think they are called door guards. Does anyone know how to put them back in or know where they go? I can't seem to find a diagram anywhere. Also, is it normal for the white insulation on the inside to be a bit moldy? Yuk!! Thanks for any help...

Hi Tracy,

Slide them back in over the hinge, lining up the door guard square tab with the hinge lever square notch.

Hello

I have a loose handle on my Bosch DW - only about 3 yrs old.

Is it necessary to remove the whole inside panel to tighten it?

What pitfalls are there - like springs or other things that will fall out? Is there a seal than will be difficult to reset?

Thanks,

TED GROAT

I can't tell the model without pulling it out, but the manual is for models
SHE66C, SHX56C, SHV56C, SHX57C, SHV57C and SHY56A

You can find the model number on the right side of the door or behind the bottom panel.

Ok - found it - SHX56C05UC / 23.

I am also curious about one other thing. Dishes and glasses dry properly, but plastic containers like Tupperware remain wet. Any suggestions.

Thanks,

TED

To remove the outer door, open the door and remove the T-20 Torx screws located on each side of the inner stainless door.

Return the door back to its upright position, and bring the bottom of the door panel out toward you, then slide the top of the panel down and out from under the fascia panel.

As the outer door is being removed, the left or right door guards may shift or fall out of place. To reposition them, slide them back in over the hinge, lining up the door guard square tab with the hinge lever square notch. Please note: door guards must be in place before reinstalling the door panel.

Tighten the screws holding the door handle.

Assemble in the reverse order.

Longer drying time for a plastic dishes is normal due to their porous surface.

I am also having a problem with a loose door handle, on my Bosch dishwasher, and just wanted to check and see if the procedure for getting to the door handle screws was the same for model: SHX46A05UC / 14

Thanks,

Mark
