In order to get access to these screws you have to remove the door from the oven and then remove the inner door panel.

The model number you provided does not come up. It could be incorrect, incomplete or very old.

Thanks Gene. The model number might not come up because I'm in Canada. The Whirlpool site here wasn't at all helpful. Do you think that this operation will pose any particular difficulties? Thanks again for responding.

Thanks for the exploded view. It looks pretty straight forward (Famous last words!). I'm going to give it a go this weekend. Keep an eye on this space… just in case!

Hi Gene. I finally got around to tackling the loose oven door handle and it was a cinch. Thanks for giving me the confidence to do the job and the tips.

Hi Charles,

I'm glad you were able to fix it.

Hi Gene,

This is an old thread so hope you're still on the Forum! I'm trying to fix the door on a neighbour's Whirlpool oven (the only no on the literature she has is G2P 62F/01 - I assume this is the model no). The door has fallen right open so that it touches the floor - the retarders or whatever you call them on the hinges don't seem to be working, but I can't see much without getting the door panel off.

I got the door off the oven, but can't get the inner panel off. There are 2 screws at the door base which free up the bottom of the panel, but the top is fixed and I can't find any similar screws. Can you (or anyone!) help, please?

Thanks!
Gene

The model number you posted is incorrect. Hopefully the Model Number Locator will help you to find the correct model number.
