If there is no broken or loose wire, then the optic boards are the first failure suspect. - The PC board kit Part number: AP3137510

Gene, where would I look for a loose/broken wire? The wire harness coming out of the wall to the icemaker is about 6-8" long. Is it possible that it could be loose/broken somewhere in the wall that it goes into?
I am about to buy the optics kit, but wanted to check for this first.

As it shown in the wiring diagram, you can check for 120 VAC between the BK/WH 4 and WH 8 at the receiver board. If there is no proper voltage, then the boards are the culprit. Gene.

OK, it's definitely the board as you can see from the attached image... I pulled it out of the frame and there was a nickel-sized burn mark on the frame wall, along with a spot on the board that was charred as well (just above the screw). What could have caused this? I'll order the new kit and post the results asap. Thanks! wack70 attached the following image(s):
