Turn the ice maker "off" for a minute. Turn it "on" and during the first 15 seconds push the feeler arm from the 'out' position to the "in" position and back again 3 times (3 times only) to enter the service diagnostic mode. It consists of a harvest cycle followed by a water fill (5.1 sec).
Post the results.
Gene.

Looks like the problem is a bad control board in the ice maker. GE recently introduced newly designed ice maker due to many problems with the one in your fridge. - The part number for the ice maker is AP4345120 Gene.

Gene is correct, The new icemaker is an electromechanical design, way better than the electronic model. The guts of the icemaker is made up of the same components as the old one that worked with the arm that lifted up..

Actually the new part# is WR30x10093, it should take you about 5 minutes to change it, just remove the 2 screws and unplug the wire plug. You do need to transfer to the new icemaker the fill tray and shield, you'll see what I'm talking about when you get the new icemaker

No recall on your model. An icemaker is considered an accessory, it can and probably will fail before the expected lifespan of the refrigerator. Glad you were able to fix the problem.
