Hello, I have a Maytag Dishwasher Model# MDB7600AWS SR#15402650CE I got up this morning and noticed it was counting down from 50 down to 0 and variouse lights would change over the selection buttons as it counted down. I tried pushing various buttons to get it to stop but it would not respond. Ironically we had a power outage a few min later. When the power came back on the dishwasher would not respond to any button and had a blank display. I can open the door and shut it and sometimes get some lights to come on with a "2H" flashing on the display. However, none of the buttons do anything and it shuts off after a few min. Any Ideas where I should start looking for a fix?

First, check the integrity of the wiring to the unit. Make sure there is power coming into it, and make sure all the connections, including the ground.

OK, I have power. I took the front door apart and got in to the control board. I was thinking that since I'm not getting any responce from the front panel that the problem may be there. I disconected the ribbon cable from the control board and reinserted it. put everything back together and it seems to be working, for now. I'm getting a little rattle from the washing motor now. Sounds like I may have dislodged some junk in the tubing or somethning when I pulled the unit out from under the counter. I'm hoping that it will go out with the drain cycle as I am now running it through a test wash. I'll let you guys know what happens. Thank you for you time and trying to help.
Capdoo :o
P.S. BTW make sure you turn off the unit at the breaker before you take the door apart to check out the control board. The micro switches for the door latch have 120Vac on them. And the hot leg is exposed and it will BITE!!!

I have the same model with similar symptoms. I had replaced the front control panel with touch buttons about two years ago, so this was a suspect. When this previous person mentioned that he thought that he may have dissloged a blockage in the disposal line I thought that is an easy one to check. I had not removed the dishwasher from the counter but I could reach the disposal line from under the sink. So I grabbed it and shook it in and out a few times. Nothing detected, but I tried to turn on the washer and behold it worked and has kept working since then. Thanks for your help.
