My unit works fine for most functions: stove top burners ok, broil ok, clean cycle ok, general baking.
The problem arises when my wife bakes bread. The oven is set to about 170 for rising the bread. When the temp is then set higher to actually bake it (400 roughly), the unit doesn't want to go higher than 170. I checked it myself, being sure to cancel the bake cycle, but the problem persists.
Control unit? Bake igniter?
Thanks!

What will happen if you set the oven for 400°F from the beginning?

It will get there. It's somewhat slow, but it gets there ok.

Most likely the problem is a bad bake igniter but it could be a bad control board too (about 30% chance). I would replace the bake igniter first. It comes without the mounting bracket - you can use the old bracket. - The part number for the bake igniter is AP172397 - The part number for the control board is AP172951 Gene.
