My dryer drum wont turn if I stop it after it has run for awhile, if I let it cool down It will start right up. I popped the top and the drum was a little difficult to turn, but after a few manual turns, it started right up. The reason I stopped it was because it was starting to squeak like a bearing was getting ready to go out. I'm not sure if I need to replace the drum rollers or the motor.

Seems like your motor has run out of oil. I would pull it apart and check the motor and idler pulley.

Can the motor be oiled, or will it have to be replaced?

I have the dryer apart, and the motor clips off, but I can't get to the blower to take it off the motor shaft. The blower housing has 2 screws, but I can't get to them from the front or back. Is there a trick to getting the blower off the shaft without removing the blower housing?

Clamp vice grips on the blower shaft, then turn the other end of the motor clockwise with a pipe wrench, jerking it helps. If the motor bearings really overheated the motor shaft, you might have to chop the old blower off with a wood chisel, or a small hatchet, just put the motor clamps back on when you do this.

Thank You, I had to force it off, and now I will order a drive motor and a blower wheel. The squeaking was coming from the drive motor, you were right the motor was shot.
