Hello, I own a 12 year old Whirlpool gas dryer and up until now it's been vey reliable. One day I notice that while eveything else seems to be working fine (dryer will start and the the drum will turn) THE HEAT IN MY DRYER HOWEVER WILL NOT TURN ON. I took the cabinet off and noticed that NO PART OF HEATING ELEMENT (like the ignitor) IS EVEN GETTNIG WARM after I turn on the dryer. It simply looks like THE DRYER DOES NOT HEAT AT ALL!!! After 12 years of reliable service what could suddenly be the problem with it??? What parts if any are needed to repair it??? The model number of my dryer is LGC8858EQ0 and the serial number is MF3307121. THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR HELP!

Thank You Gene, I'll try to follow those directions. I guess a bit different model numbers don't make too much difference when it comes to fixing that no-heat problem with Whirpool dryers, right? (I see that even part numbers are the same for my dryer as they are in the post that you pointed me to.) Thank you again Maria
