This is a Sears side-by-side with the ice bin on the door, appears to be the same as a Whirlpool, replaced with Appliance Parts Pro # WPL 4317943 ice maker.

When the ice maker was replaced it began making ice for a month, and then stopped. Ice level light was blinking twice off and twice with flap closed. After two weeks it began making ice again, it has now stopped again. I have unplugged the refrigerator and plugged it back in again. Ice sensor is back to two blinks with one off., i.e., back to what had been doing originally. Feels like either a bad emitter or receiver, but do not know which. Any advice?

Thanks,
John

John,

Your diagnosis sounds right. Both boards coming as a kit and should be replaced together.

- The PC board kit Part number: AP3137510
Part number: AP3137510

I have the same issue. Are these boards in the ice maker or are they in the fridge itself?

I can replace the entire motor unit for about the same price as the boards themselves so if they are inside the motor unit I would just do the whole unit.

Thanks, FH

What is the complete model number of the refrigerator?

What exactly is the problem?

Gene.
