It doesn't fill, but ice eject mech works fine. Water dispenses through the door fine. I didn't hook up the waterline until it was 1.5 yrs. old and of course out of warranty. Factory tech support had me the cycle ice sensor arm together w/ power switch to "re-boot" the unit, but it still doesn't fill. Any ideas? Anybody have a schemo they could share? Any service company in North Hollywood want to fix it? Thanks. Chip 818-764-3722 (o) 310-721-2175 (c)

Hi Chip,
Does the ice maker in your fridge have green LED? If it does - is it blinking or it stays green?
Gene.

Gene. Hi Gene, thanks for the reply; the LED is on solid. The factory had me do the re-boot where I turned the icemaker OFF, then ON and pushed the ice sensor bar back three times, no change. Since then I hot-wired the valve w/ 120vac directly and the icemaker fills OK. So does that indicate a problem with the icemaker or the control board and how do you tell? Thanks, Chip

Gene. Hi Gene - yes the icemaker mechanism seems to operate properly. Only it doesn't fill. And, again, when I hot-wired the fill valve, it filled OK.

Hi Chip, If the LED is solid, what means the ice maker control board does not sense any problems, I would check all wires first and then replace the main control board. - The part number for the main control board is AP3950129 Gene.

I have never replaced a main board on this fridge because of an icemaker problem. Even though the icemaker harvests and led is solid, does not mean the icemaker is good. Inside that icemaker is a circuit board that controls it. This board is subject to moisture and will fail, GE just went back to the electromechanical icemaker because of all the problems with this electronic model. Not to mention the paddle rides on the cam inside the unit, and a small piece of plastic breaks off of these and cause the symptoms described. In my experiance The main board will not solve your problem. Also the schematic is located behind the front cover of the icemaker

Chip, I looked at your model, and your board is under a rework by GE, you can call GE to come and put a new board in for free.
