The electric spark for my gas range burner continues sparking non-stop, regardless of the state of the burners or burner controls. The problem started by itself suddenly, with no apparent cause or provocation. Problems occurs when all burners are turned off, and when any burner is lit. Burners light properly when the knob is turned to enable flow of gas, yet sparking continues non-stop. I have to disconnect the power to get it to stop.
Model number of the stove is Viking VGSC3064BSS.

Most likely one of the ignition switches (they are under knobs) got shorted possibly due to spilled liquid or a cleaning stuff sprayed on. In that case it should stop sparking after a switch drys.
I'm not able to provide any diagrams and/or parts information for Viking products. You have to call Viking only.
Gene.

I checked the switches, and they were all clean and good. I replaced the spark control unit, and it fixed the problem.
