I have a Frigidaire Refrigerator with the Freezer compartment on top. We bought it brand new at Lowes about 5 years ago and has run fine since we have had it. I opened the freezer the other day and everything was melting. It was not producing any cold air in the freezer or the refrigerator. I turned the temperature control setting in each compartment up one notch in the colder direction. After a while it started getting colder. It reached normal operating temperature and lasted about two days. Now it is doing the same thing, it is not cooling anymore. Any suggestions?

Hi Craig,

Remove the rear cover, clean the condenser coil (#1 on the system break down diagram) and check if the fan next to the condenser is running. This fan must run together with the compressor.

Post your findings.

Gene.
