Hello I have a 4 year old bosch dishwasher that we love, it is quiet, works great and fits nicely.

my wife ran the dishwasher and the on/off button stayed depressed. The cycle ran and the dishes were clean, but it no longer worked. I found out the button was broken and ordered the plastic button piece. Got it yesterday and replaced the piece, but sadly it did not work.

My question is; do I need the on/off switch itself replaced? That would be my next step. Or is it the control panel or something else. I do not mind ordering the $18 piece but the control panel is $300 ish, and at this point maybe a new washer would be considered.

I am a noobie and would like any help. Thanks in advance and thanks for websites like this! Cheers.

This is a bump, hopefully allowed. I am going to order the switch, but can anyone give input? Thanks.
