my dishwasher has only been used approx.30/40times .the solenoid completely melts.i have a new solenoid the came under warranty yesterday but i am concerned that another meltdown might cause a fire.the part i am putting in is geh wd21x10060 a solenoid kit assy. anybody got any info on this problem ???? thanks bob morton

Your timer needs to be replaced along with the solenoid, The timer got stuck on drain for to long and in turn caused the solenoid to melt. If you don't replace the timer, you will be replacing the solenoid again.... AP2616982 Dont forget to transfer the cam off the old timer to the new timer

thanks for the quick reply.it is a big help.now to figure is this washer worth putting in 80 bucks for the timer(i have the solenoid).this machine came with my new mobile home so i will search prices on line.i saw someone in the forum preferred kitchenaid maybe a moveup in my future.thanks again for the help bob morton
