Drive shaft for agitator is leaking grease. Seal is bad, Is there a bearing to keep shaft solid? How does this dis-assemble?

The transmission in this washer is not repairable and GE does not sell any parts for it. If it's leaking, it has to be replaced. - The transmission Part number: AP2046402
