My freezer needed defrosting (badly), I emptied it and let it defrost. I had noticed the outside of the freezer felt hot to the touch. After defrosting and cleaning, I plugged it in and turned it on. The motor started right up and began to cool. After running about 10 minutes, I felt
the sides of the freezer and both sides felt very warm. Is this a problem?
I hate to put food into the freezer, if there is the chance that it will stop
working.

Did you have to buy a new freezer?
Mine was not just warm to the touch-- the sides were red hot
