The freezer is working great, however the refrigerator is not blowing cold air. I looked at it and found styrofoam inside the area where the air should be blowing cold. I am not an expert but should there be styrofoam inside there?

It could be part of the vent. It may have busted off from someplace. If removing gives you airflow, then that's your problem. Make sure there is no frost covering the evaporator coils.
