I have a Frigidaire side by side refrigerator, Model FRS6LF7JB0 that just made 2 years old. It has begun leaking water beneath the tray of the front ice/water dispenser. The water is running slowly down the front of the freezer door to the floor. I disconnected the water at the back of the refrigerator and the leaking has stopped. I was able to find a schematic on this forum of the dispenser, but I cannot understand how to completely disassemble it and check to see if the water line is leaking inside. Can someone please help me figure this out? Also, is there a way to disconnect the water going to the door while still allowing water to go to the icemaker? I could live without the dispenser for a while, but i really need the icemaker. Thanks in advance! Here is my unit... Actually, no. We have great water where we are. Could it be clogged? Is there a way to check?

If you did not replace the water filter, then the problem more likely is a bad water inlet valve on the back of the refrigerator. There is a water filter (#137 on the diagram) installed by the manufacturer. If this filter is more than a year old, most likely it is clogged. You can replace the water filter or install the bypass instead of the filter. The instructions are in the Owner guideand/or on the filter pack. - The water inlet valve Part number: AP4298908

OK, this may sound strange, but I pulled the bottom tray off the dispenser. I didnt realize it was removeable. The water in the sump was almost overflowing. I cleaned it out and wiped everything down. I turned the water supply back on and in the past 24 hours it has not leaked.
This makes me wonder if the sump was just full because I had never emptied it? I honestly didnt know this needed to be done.
I appreciate the answers. I will continue to monitor it. I suppose it is a good idea to replace the filter? or should I just bypass it since I do not need it?

If you are sure you do not need the filter, just bypass it. You can buy the filter any time later.
