Hello!
I have a refrigerator which is not cooling both in the refrigerator area and freezer. I have the cooling set to 9 on both sides of the side by side unit.
The temperature is cool but it does not get cooler in the refrigerator. In the freezer, none of the items are frozen anymore but maintain the same temperature/coolness as the refrigerator, may be a little cooler.
Please advise

Thanks.

Can you see a frost build-up on the rear panel in the freezer?

Does the fan in the freezer work?

Are the compressor and the fan next to it working?

The refrigerator is sitting between two counters and I was unable to move the refrigerator to take a look at the back of it. Would you suggest anything to get it roll forward easily. Thanks.

You do not have to move the refrigerator to answer on the two first questions.

Hello Gene,

1. I am not sure if the compressor is working. Please suggest how to verify this.
The fan next to the compressor is working.

2. I do not have water connected to the refrigerator and hence the switch is turned off inside the freezer. When I did turn the switch on though, I hear the fan starting and then stopping, repeating every few seconds. I am not sure if this is because there is not water connected to the refrigerator. I do not use the water on the refrigerator.

3. There is no frost build up on the rear panel in the freezer.

The problem is still that the freezer and the refrigerator do not cool beyond a certain temperature.

Thanks a lot for your time.

Regards.

Sorry for the delay.

I'm afraid you do have to pull the refrigerator out of the wall to clean the condenser.

If it would not help, the problem very likely is with the sealed system which has to be diagnosed and serviced by a pro.
