Hello everyone,

The gasket on my freezer door does not seem to want to seal. The bottom right (opposite hinge) corner has pulled away from the freezer and in order to get it to seal would have to push very hard. It does not stay that way when I do push. I don't know if the gasket has to be replaced or if it can be repaired, what do you think?

In the image above you can see the gasket is not torn, but is pulling away. If I press on the door, the most compression of the gasket is at the top right (outside of the picture area). Thoughts?

Oh by the way, I briefly tried using a hair dryer to heat up the seal with no results at all. Maybe I am doing it wrong?

Additionally, looking at it more, it is almost like the whole door is warped and maybe replacing the seal won't do anything. It appears that it might seal better if I warp it back temporarily by applying a torsional force to it.

If you loosen the screws in the four corners of the gasket, twist the door alittle, and tighten the screws, sometimes that helps. Did this problem appear suddenly? If so, maybe something stored in the door is messing with it? Also, if the box is not level, sometimes the freezer itself will be torqued and messing with the feet will square it up and let the door seal again. If the gasket seem stiff or deformed, heating it with a hair dryer or heat gun (very carefully!) might soften it and help it seal.
