This dryer has been leaving dark brown stains on clothes -- sometimes still in the drum with no apparent "snag" on drum parts, and often with portion of clothing item (shirt collar, bra strap, pillow case, etc.) caught between drum and the inside front of the dryer.

Can this be repaired? How much will it cost?

thanks!

It should be repairable, but hard to diagnose without seeing it. You may need a replacement drum.

I would take out the drum, which you can do by prying up the top, taking off the front, taking out the back service panel and releasing the belt and then lifting the drum out. If there is a noticeable problem you will see it.
