Need to replace the defrost heater in my Model KSSS36QDW04 (side by side). Can I get a URL for the service manual? As I recall, the evaporator has to be lifted up and the heater removed from the bottom.

Your cal rod heater is retained with metal clips on the bottom. Usually these heaters don't fail, but sometimes they burn open externally from a bad connection.

Thanks for your input. There's no continuity even close to the rod itself. Once I replace the heater, I'll tear into the old one. It probably opened up where one of the wires fasten.
I would greatly appreciate any links to the service manual for a KSSS36QDW04
