Systems starts fine and cold air comes out, but the Evaporator gets frosted up therefore reducing the colling efficiency.
I have not taken anything apart yet, hoping it is something that I can fix without replacing parts. Maybe a dirty filter?

I just took it apart and cleaned up, not too dirty, still having the same problem.:(

Move the temp bulb and lay a piece of cardboard on the evaporator. Turn the unit on high. Watch the suction line. If it frost up all the way back to the compressor then you do not need to charge it. If it does not frost up then you need to put an A-2 tap on there and charge the low side to 68 PSI. No Gauges? Use an ampmeter, Look on the nomiclature plate and detirmine the total ampdraw of the compressor and the fan combined. Charge the system till the amp draw matches specks.
