Dryer ran all night (another occasional problem unresolved) and now won't heat. Cleaned the (clogged) exterior exhaust cover. Still wont heat. Haven't yet taken top back off to check. Just needed to know a plan of attack. Don't own an ohm meter, but can get one. Figure its the heating element, thermal fuse, or ? Please advise.

Your dryer has thermal fuses that blow and are not resettable in the event the dryer gets too hot.
Since you had a clog, this is probably what happened. Get a meter and check all the fuses for continuity. Click on your model number to get exploded views of your machine.
