The icon indicating the probe should be put in comes on periodically when the oven is not in use. It is impossible to use the oven timer or set the temp when this is up and we cannot get it to cancel. The icon will go off for a few minutes when we hit cancel and an error message f4 and EO comes up. When this is up we cannot run the microwave, timer or oven. We can cancel that but in a few minutes either the error message or the probe icon comes back. I read from a previous post that f4 means a short. A Kitchenaid tech came once and said grease getting in the probe plug causes the short. We have cleaned this plug with solvent (his suggestion) but it doesn't help. What should we be doing???

(I hope that's the right model number - there was also a line 8538 791 54001 above what I took to be the model number.)
