Unit won't drain, removed drain hose,no blockage, ran a cycle(full)and noticed that nothing happens after the wash/rince cycle.Used my multi tester and notced the solonoid has no power coming to it at any point.I am thinking that it is the selection switch.I have removed it and was thinking of jumping a hot wire to the solonoid wire(tan?)

Do you have the wiring diagram? If you do, can you post it?

no i don't,but upon closser inspection i discovered a melted goo over the solonoid shaft.I removed it and gave it 110v and it did nothing. So i ordered a solonoid localy for $16 and I will give that a try.

Such damage to the drain solenoid means the timer is bad as well. It keeps the solenoid powered up.

You can try your luck, but if the timer is bad...

You are welcome. This is probably the best decision in such situation.

Gene.
P.S. Do not buy any Frigidaire or Maytag made dishwashers.
