Hi Folks,

I installed the replacement parts kit for my gas water heater, it went quite well. While I tried to ignite the heater: the pilot fire can't remain. There is a RESET BUTTON, and an IGNITOR. Basing on the instruction, the pilot fire should keep on if I had kept holding the RESET BUTTON for longer than 1 minute of time. I tried many times, and held the BUTTON for long time. Every time, I saw the pilot fire burning nicely, through the view port.

I also suppose my gas pressure has no change.

Can somebody help me out? It is so inconvenient in my house without hot water! Please somebody help, thanks a lot!

Try replacing the thermocouple. You can get them at Home Depot or Lowes. pretty easy to change out.
