can't get my ice maker to make ice changed filter but solenoid isn't getting power

golfercam,
Open the freezer door, make sure the ice maker "on-off" switch is in "on" position and press in the emitter flapper door (on the left side) to unblock the optics beam and view the diagnostics status LED on the right side.
Post your findings.

I have the same issue with my ice maker. when i do the test of holding the flapper door closed, what am i suppose to see on the right side. i see an eye and an unlit light across from it? erv

ERV,
Make sure the "on-off" on the right side is in "on" position. Press in the freezer door switch. If the status LED will flash once every second then the ice maker is in the harvest mode. You have to wait until it's done and then test the LED again as described in the first post.
If the status LED is dark then the optic boards have to be replaced. In order to provide the right part number I need the model number of the fridge.
