My Roper washing machine shakes violently while spinning.
We have leveled it. Rearranged the clothes in the machine. Ran small loads. This machine has never ran on the spin cycle correctly. It went into storage, due to not working properly. Now, we have taken it out of storage, to use the machine---it still spins out of control.
Please help!!

It should be located on either the bottom left or right side of the cabinet twards the bottom, you will see a hole if it's been removed, or a bolt if it's still in there.

Okay, we checked for a shipping bar. Couldn't find anything like that. Any other suggestions?

Remove the outer cabinet and check the suspension for missing springs. Also, check the skate plate under the tub for missing plastic slides, or misalignment.

Okay, I don't know where the manual is for the washer, but is there a trick to removing the outer cabinet? I know nothing about washing machines....

The Roper is basically a Whirlpool direct drive washer. Go to web site www.applianceaid.com for info on this.
