I have a fairly new mini-fridge I picked up that I love. It was shipped cross-country on a big truck. After arriving, I plugged it in and it kicked on just fine. I came back a few hours later and it wasn't running and it was warm inside.

Any ideas?

How long did you wait to let it cool down?

It could be that it did not get cold enough and then went into a defrost cycle which usually shuts off the compressor and all fans.

Defrost should end after 20 to 30 minutes.
