This fridge was full of junk underneath by the coils ,cleaned it all up,still after the cleanup it was blowing very little air through the top left vent.I read about the freezer giving all the air through its side so I opened it up and cleaned the ice built up on the vent top right freezer piece. Now more air goes in but when I close the freezer door the air sort of stops flowing in the fridge. As soon as I open the door again it flows. The freezer works great but had some ice, could it be that it's defrosting?Don't know what to do next,so please help. Thanks in advance

I wanted to rectify some of the info I related,I educated myself a little and want to specify a few discrepancies.First the dirt under the fridge was built up
in the usual place that being the condenser coils.I opened up the freezer to reveal the evaporator fan and found a big block of ice to the right of the fan in the right upper part of the fan scroll. Some wires were also frozen, but I cleares that all up.The air scoop ,the piece that releases air into the fridge was also frozen about 80%,cleared that up also. The evaporator didn't have any ice but some frost on the upper tubes.I know from past experience that the dirt built up un the bottom causes cooling issues. My proble still is that there is very little air being transfered to the fridge, more when the freezer door opens. The evap fan seems to work.Should I unplug 24hrs for defrost? My defrost timer board has no place to turn clock wise to force defrost as per guide. So I still need to check continuity at the heater coil. Please help out as my food is at my neighbor's.Thanksl

Clean all ice out of the air return hole at the bottom behind the crisper drawers. If the heater and defrost thermostat (when cold) shows continuity, you probably have a bad adaptive defrost board AP4340119 behind the control panel.

Thanks for answering Rich, are you talking about the defrost timer board AP3109394.
Also the heater ? and defrost termostat is thatAP3037004 for both. How do you test it properly,I left the fridge unplugged overnight to defrost so I'll plug it in but when will the termostat be frozen since the control box is on the fridge upper front side. The other thing I couldn't find to test is the heater AP2988898 ,no idea where it is,I thought it was in the back of the fridge by the compressor.By the way is the compressor supposed to get hot?

Go to web site www.applianceaid.com they will give you the procedure to manually force defrost.

Thanks I did check it out and I have toput the fridge in defrost mode and check the bi-metal and the heater with an ohmeter ,as for now I restarted after the deep cleaning and and seems to be cooling down towards the 40s I'll see if it stays there in 3-4 days and retest.I found this Service Pointer on the ADC2000 board which is the timer in my fridge as per picture and was wondering on your thoughts on the de-activation routine shown. Here it is

A modification of the board is probably not necessary in your case. They ship these units into all kinds of places where the humidity and temperatures are extreem. Us Americans usually have the fridg in a decent area like 74 degrees and decent humidity levels.
If once you completely defrost the unit and it freezes up in like 5 days, you have a complete defrost failure. If you had incomplete defrost, it would take much longer to completely frost over.

So you think the condenssor coils being completely covered up in dust may have caused the whole issue? And if the issue doesn't occure in the next month I should be OK?Thanks anyways.

Stay focused here and ignore the rude interuption by Caril. You had a defrost failure requiring testing/ replacement of parts. No cleaning will help, you must find the bad part and replace.
