RICHAPPY - Please help. I had the same problem below. Ice maker on GE Profile Refrigerator (SIDE-BY-SIDE) not working. Water is in line. Ice Maker Arm goes up and down, but no ice. Any suggestions. Items to check or do I need to buy a new ice maker? Please help, thank you for your time. Have a good day!!!!!
You replyed with. First I would verify your freezer temperature near the ice maker is below 10 degrees and not below zero. If OK, I would locate the water solenoid in the back and swap, if possible, the electrical wiring plugs, then press the water dispenser for 7-9 seconds. Water should fill up the tray. If not, you have a freezer fill tube that is frozen, or a bad solenoid, just remove the smaller tubing at the water solenoid and check. If ok, you probably have a bad ice maker.
I switched the wires and press the water dispensor and it "Worked", it filled up the tray. Does that tell me the solenoid is bad or the icemaker is. If at all possible please post with a answer and email me it a BD74SS@AOL.COM Thank you so much..... Travis

Probably a bad icemaker if the freezer temp is below 10 degrees. I usually confirm by checking if there is 115 volts to the icemaker plug
