Does anyone know how to lift the top of the GE XL44 cooktop? it's got the sealed burners.

I know this is an old thread but I finally figured out how to open mine And thought a photo would help others who are trying to figure it out. GE XL44 how to open top - Imgur

The picture helped! Thanks But I was only able to lift the top about an inch. Seemed like something might break if I pulled hard to lift it. Still, it was gratifying to clean a layer of grease.
