Soap dispenser on Whirlpool GU1500XTKB0 won't close. The latch won't hold the dispenser door on. I believe I need a P/N AP3776575. Is anything else necessary to replace this part?

BTW, the post at http://forum.appliancepartspros.../861-soap-dispenser.html was great, since I also have the old part.

Yes that looks like the part you need.

The following may come in handy now or in the future.

denman,

I received the part and the docs were helpful in the install. Only one question left: I was able to reattach the two cables that go to the solenoid that releases the detergent door, but there was another cable that attached to a small board behind the rinse aid resevoir that didn't have any place to attach it to. Is this extraneous with the new detergent dispenser or am I missing something?

To anyone else reading this, the part delivered in two days, using the cheapest shipping method. Seems like an impressive operation. I'll use them again in the future.

This was probably for a runse aid level sensor.

They have removed this as it caused more problems than it was worth.
