The washer started beeping near the end of a "normal" cycle. The washer won't restart now, the soap dish flap will not stay closed and when trying to restart, the beeping starts again and the red light indicator lights on NORMAL. Tried reseting and will sot restart.

Gene. MODEL # - GSD3900L00BB SERIAL # - FL844461B Hope this helps I finally got the thing to cycle after getting the soap flap to close, when the cycle ended the beeping started again with the red light blinking. After unlocking the door the beeping stopped but the light keeps blinking.

I cut the power off at the panel box for 10 minutes, yurned the power back on, the light started blinking on the "START RESET" button, the door switch was open at that time. I locked the door latch and after a few seconds the light started blinking on the "NORMAL" wash button and started beeping again. After turning the power on I did not press any buttons , I just watched.

The detergent cup lid won't stay closed. The blinking light is now back on the START RESET button again. When I tried to close the cup lid I had to force it a bit, it clicked to get it into the closed position.

Remove the inner door panel and check the sensor switch and the motor (#921 & #920 on the diagram). The control board does not sense them in the right position. Gene.

I get the beeping. I can't get the beeping to stop until I can eventually get the soap cap to stay closed. What would cause the lid not to stay closed. I assume that is all I need to replace? Any suggestions?
