My tenant claims the electric oven goes into self cleaning mode by itself. He says he has NOT inadvertently touched the self clean control. Needless to say he is afraid to keep the power to the range, so leaves the circuit breaker on only during cooking.
Has anyone ever heard of such a problem? I really am having my doubts. Any thoughts?

Stan, Most likely the problem is a bad control board, but there is a small chance for the control panel to be bad as well. - The control board Part number: AP3174668

I hope it is only the control board.
Thanks, Gene, for the quick reply.

Gene. Gene, It was a success! Thanks. Only removing the old control board proved to be the hardest part. Stan

Stan,
I'm glad you were able to fix it. Good luck with your oven.
